Merzbow Requests
So I've been uploading a bunch of Merzbow I'm behind on and figured once I come back I should probably post some of it. Since there is so much I was wanting to know where I should start. I've updated the Merzlist with everything I have, so check there and let me know via a comment. Also if there are any requests for titles I don't have drop them here or the cbox and I'll see what I or others can do. And on another note I'd like to thank some trusty visitors that usually come through with results: dahgrow, PM & Skullgrid.

Update
So here's the deal... I'm going to be taking a little bit of a break. I've got some things to take care of and will be out for a bit. While I'm away though I've got some things I've been meaning to rip and should have them done hopefully by the time I get back.

Also please comment. They help me through the day and with the blog. If you like the album or not, have suggestions, whatever, let me know.

SYR 8
This here is a treat. So somehow I ended up with a copy of this a week and a half before it's supposed to drop on the 29th, and what do I do? Share of course, what else. This is the latest installment in Sonic Youth's SYR series and features the complete 'Other Sides of Sonic Youth' improvised live performance from the 2005 Roskilde Festival in Denmark. This is a fantastic show and features Sonic Youth (with Jim O'Rourke) and two guests: Swedish free-jazz/avant-garde saxophonist Mats Gustafsson and Japanese noise-god Merzbow. The single piece performed was a structured improvisation which for 60 minutes added and subtracted musicians one by one until only Merzbow was left onstage. Somehow Black Sabbath had to follow this performance.

Uncharted Depths

More John Wiese. This is a remix of a remix. The original Magical Crystal Blah featured several live cuts of Wiese spewing his signature noise. Volume 2 featured the material remixed by many prominent noise and experimental artists. Volume 3 here features John reworking and remixing the remixed material from Volume 2. Great stuff and highly recommended exacting noise. Unfortunately I do not have Volume 1 or 2, so if anyone does, please share.

1. The Conet Project was posted over at TNA and there seemed to be a mini firestorm over sampling the audio.
2. I've been working on a new collaborative project using raw sound materials from the other artist (just like old mail collabs).
