The first is Grav. This 1991 release sees Merzbow teaming up with legendary Oakland industrial outfit PGR and the equally renowned German electronic musician Asmus Tietchens. Now to start the files are wrongly labeled as I was lead to believe it was a three-way split. Upon further research I can definitively say this is a collaboration. Three long tracks, all clock in at over 20 minutes, make up this wonderful ambient experience. Long passages of industrial metal-clangs meet electronic drones and chirps. Subdued Merzbow noise leaks in and out, with track two being the noisiest. I highly recommend this.
Sounds like: the deepest reaches of space in a mechanical universe.

2. Three Hemispheres
3. Hymns From the Furnace
Second we have a very nice split between Merzbow and Bastard Noise, Voice Pie. Both the musicians are top notch with Merzbow in his signature analog sound and Bastard Noise doing what he does best.
Sounds like: airplane engines on fire and bubbling mechanical guts.

This was the first record by either Merzbow or Bastard Noise.
It'll always be a favorite.
